The Second SPARK-COIL Laboratory Among Philippine Consortium Members

The Ateneo de Naga University laboratory represents the second SPARK-COIL inauguration among the project’s Philippine consortium members, marking another important milestone for the initiative’s nationwide rollout.

The SPARK-COIL project aims to build a centralized Collaborative Online International Learning program that connects Philippine higher education institutions with international partners, particularly those within the European Union.

Key objectives of the program include:

  • Evaluating the current state of collaborative online learning across participating universities
  • Training faculty members as COIL Champions to lead international learning collaborations
  • Implementing COIL programs across multiple academic courses
  • Developing the SPARK-COIL digital platform to support global knowledge exchange

By enabling digital collaboration across borders, the initiative strengthens academic agility, resilience, and knowledge exchange among institutions worldwide.

Supporting the Future of Smart Campuses in Philippine Higher Education
